Hi, from somewhat sunny but currently grayish Maryland! We are having a "heat wave" here...It's in the high 40's today! I'm a bit of a free spirit...self-employed (3 different jobs, all fun and/or fulfilling) and a bit "out of the box" in my thinking. I enjoy gardening and have become a fanatic about edibles, self-sufficiency and perennial vegetables. I'm looking forward to learning more about economic self-sufficiency and just getting to know people with similar interests.

BTW, I'm from normally hot, humid Southern Oklahoma but it has been cold, wet, and muddy lately.

Hello all! I'm RainbowHed from Oklahoma. I'm a 50+ urban gardener(in training). Digging in the dirt and growing fruits and veggies has really "grown" on me in the last twenty years. I guess I've always wanted to do it but didn't have the space or time. My wife is my coach and she also handles the flower bed portion of our front yard endeavor. We are currently using an adapted version of square foot gardening.

I'm glad to be here amongst other dirt worshipers!!
