One way I have chosen to simply our lives is that all our beds are the same size. This way all the sheets, blankets, quilts, etc. will fit and be interchangeable. All our beds are full size, regular beds. They are antique and sit up really high and all the bedding works on any of them. My dd, Ryan, has never slept in a twin bed except when she was very tiny. She prefers a nice big bed since she tosses and turns like me. She has gotten old enough now to not care for the cartoon sheets and she just gets the regular sheets like the rest of us. Sure makes the linen closet easier to manage!

What about you? What size beds to you have?

That's a very good idea. Dh and I sleep on a double (52") bed because our room is small. When we got married it was a 48" mattress. Talk about cozy. All the boys have single beds as our house it too small for larger beds. Each bed only has one set of sheets. I wash them and put them back on. I do have a couple extra sets for emergencies (company or accidents). When these wear out, I'll buy new. I like good quality too. They last so much longer.

We have two queen sized, the baby's crib, and a toddler bed. Zachary sleeps on the other queen sized and never liked his toddler bed.

I'd love a king next time around because the kids are always in our bed and we run out of room. lol

Smart girl Pat.

We have a queen size bed, and the kids each have a twin size bed, only because the house we lived in when we lived in the city was much smaller. They each have 2 quilts I've made for them, but their sheets are interchangeable as well. I only have 2 extra sheets so I'm always thankful when they hit the bathroom rather than their bed when they are sick. I do need to pick up an extra set of sheets for their beds.

We have a double bed, but I'd like to get a queen size. I have seen a queen size on a double frame and it didn't took too weird. It just looked like there was more bedding on the mattress. Our bed frame is a very detailed wrought(sp) iron antique. I want to keep the fancy bed, just get a bigger mattress. The difference between a double and a queen is only a few inches, I think about 6'' at the most.
Anyone done this? How did it look?

We have a queen size in our room, DD has a twin and the guest room has a full. I guess the only one we are lacking is a king size. I would like a king for DH and myself but I don't want to lose the extra floor space and I have a beautiful iron canopy bed that I love, so I guess I will stick with the queen. :)

We have 2 queen size and a full size. My DH is TALL, 6'3" and in anything else but a queen or King, his feet touch the foot rail or he has to sleep all folded up. The full size would be OK for me, I'm only 5'2" and loosing height because of my osteo. Believe it or not, I used to be 5'4"!

We have a king bed that is 34" high. It was quite expensive but has been the best purchase. You need a good night's sleep and I am convinced that a great mattress is the way to do that.
