I love decorative cans to store items in. I got a really pretty can with items in for Christmas and now its on my computer desk, with pens, calculator and such. It has a lid so everything is in one place. Nothing is scattered all over my desk. I also have a couple of the larger ones we got bags of popcorn in. They are now in the kids rooms, being used as garbage containers for their scraps of paper and such.

How about you, do you use them in decorating your home?

Yes I do. I have buttons in one and elastic in another. I also love those big plastic clear containers that come with nuts or candy in them during the holidays. My office gets several and after the snacks are gone, I take the jars home and use them to store lots of craft and sewing supplies in. They hold about 1/2 gallon and have the wire hinge lids.

Sure do--- covered or painted coffee cans (or formula cans) for storing all sorts of odds and ends.

Painted soup cans and tuna cans for desk organizers, pencil holders and so on.

Pringles cans for storing crayons, etc.

Me too. Deco cans and old cups that have been chipped and better not used for drinking anymore.

yep. all kinds of sewing notions, desk items, toiletries in bathroom, teabags and snacks, hardware (like nuts & bolts, not computer), seeds, and pretty much anything else that fits in whatever I have. I have a friend who used a large decorated fruitcake can to store her underwear in the bathroom because it was handy and looked pretty - hmmm, I haven't gone down that pathe yet.

Yes, I like to go to flea markets and that is one thing we search for. I have an old cracker tin that your crackers would come in. It still fits the whole box of crackers in. So, when I go shopping and buy more crackers I always keep them in there. It looks neat on the shelf where everyone can see. I also found a can for Ritz crackers. I use Town House but they still fit. I'd like to find some more. I use other tins, the ones you get at the store at Christmas time. I always save these and put all kinds of little things in, buttons, embroidery floss, etc. Gail
