I use to have a sewing room, but had to give it up. My sewing desk is now in my m/bedroom - not where I want it, but it will do. I do have more light now and I moved my computer desk and computer right next to it so that I can quilt using the net as well. Both desks are now in an L shape.

How about you, do you have a special area?

I have an area set up in our spare bedroom. We took the leaf out of our old dining room table and kept a couple of the chairs and that is now my craft table.

No I don't presently but I have the perfect place in our office/playroom. Just need to get an old recliner moved out of here so I can set up a table.

Yes, I do! It's a small room - used to be my DD's bedroom before we added on to our house. It's nothing fancy - just a couple of old dressers for storage (thanks to suggestions from this forum!), an old table - but I love it! Even if I never actually did crafting in there, it's great to have room to store all my crafting things. Before they were strewn all over the house and I never knew what I had or didn't have - could never find anything.

The only downside is that it's an unheated room on the second floor, and since it's been so cold outside, it's pretty cold in there. Hopefully it will warm up soon - then I can do some crafting. I guess it's probably not THAT cold up there - I'm just a wimp and like to stay where it's warmer!

I don't right now because I haven't been crafting a lot, but if I wanted to make a room a craft room, I do have a room available.

I use the downstairs bedroom for my sewing/craft room but it is so crowded. When I moved to the farm all the furniture that didn't fit anywhere else and I didn't want to get rid of went into that room and it's a small room. My stuff is spread out everywhere and I really need to clean it up and get more organized.

My craft area is in my bedroom...our home has no extra space for a special room. But I like what my dh has arranged for me. :)

We just bought this house and it has a sunroom on the back that I am using as a sewing room. It is a great size for my stuff and I can see the state capitol building from it. I dont think I will be able to see it when the trees bloom though.

Yes, I have converted a bedroom into a craft/sewing/quilting room :)

I have one of the bedrooms, (no longer needed as a bedroom as all daughters are grown and living on their own), to use as a computer/craft room. I keep all my crafting supplies in there but don't always work in there. If it is a knit or crochet project I usually work sitting in the comfy chair in the living room. I also have a garden bench outside which I use for most of my garden projects in the spring and summer.

I sure do. We havea den and a living room seperate. Dh has take over the den, i have taken over the living room. I have a dresser i redid for knititng/crochet/ etc supplies. a craft table that holds my knitting machine, sewing machine, etc. I have a desk that I stamp, paper craft, etc at. A quilt frame that I sew at or stretch a latch hook rug project on, I have a couch that I can relax and cros stitch or embroider at in the living room. pretty big room, filled with all my crafty stuff. I like having it for crafting.

Melissa,
Your room sounds wonderful. It's great to have that special space.

Well I do have a sewing room with a nice big table in it and lots of counter space, but right now I am crocheting so I always am in my recliner for that. lol

Missy, you are so organized!

I like the recliner part of the couch for yarn stuff too. I sit there and watch CSI reruns and make my scarves.
