Here is our small rural town, there isn't any fencing, but I'm always amazed to drive through the country and see what types of fencing farmers or rural people have. It fascinates me to look at how clever some people are.

What type of fencing do you have, if you have fences? Tell us about them.

We have 6ft. wooden privacy fence. It's the only thing allowed in our neighborhood per homeowner's association rules. We don't live on the lake so we can have 6ft. If you live on the lake, your fence can only be 4 ft. so you don't block your neighbor's view of the lake. No chain link, etc. is allowed in here.

We have wire fencing down the sides and back of our property and wood across the front and barn yard. We got a catalogue awhile back and it was fencing made from hard plastic.......it was so nice looking but very, very expensive!

I love fencing too! There is just something so orderly about fencing. Nothing more pleasing to me than a farm with nice straight fences.
We've got stucco wire fencing for the chickens and for the goats with planks for the goats as well. We have post and plank around the barn where the horse was kept. I'd like to put barbed wire there as well to keep a cow. We want to fence our field for pasture. Probably will do barbed wire since it's the easiest and cheapest.

We have a lot of fencing. For the most part it is wood or metal posts with wire strands. We have some barbed wire and some not. Where possible, we even used existing trees or stumps. Our fencing is not the pretty type, but since we have to have so much, we have to be frugal about it.

We have a chicken coop surrounded by what else, chicken wire! Our pasture and hay ground is fenced with twisted wire and metal posts - wood corner posts.
