Well of all the quilting stores I've been to and thats a lot, I have 3 favorite stores.

The Quilting Bee in Winnipeg. I love that place. Friendly service and wonderful fabrics with a wide variety.

Shirley's Sewing Room in Moosomin, Sask. Again a wonderful store, with a wide variety of fabrics and oodles and oodles of fat quarters.

Katjas Quilting store in Kamloops (the spelling might be wrong here). This store has a wide variety of fabrics, lots of patterns and wonderful ideas and the most incredible book resource I've ever seen in any quilting store.

Whats your favorite quilting store?

You know, I don't even know the name of it! LOL! I rarely go because even though they have gorgeous fabrics, I just can't afford their prices.

The Quilter Basket -it is withing walking distance of my home, about .5 miles...but it is not my favorite. But the fabric is okay and I will go there is I need something quick.

Quilted Treasures - don't know the exact distance, maybe 5 miles...this is my favorite. The are so nice and helpful. They started in just a small, small shop..you could hardly turn around!! They moved last year into a new strip mall and it is really nice.

There are a couple of otheres, one I sometime frequent...but it is a bit farther..it is in the basement of an ice cream shop..it is nice just a bit too far..

And a new one opened about 5 miles in another direction, but I have not been there yet...hope to soon!!

We only have one quilting store here and they are snobs and I don't like the store at all. I usually just go to JoAnn's Fabrics for what little bit I need. Their staff is knowledgable and friendly.

I think the spelling is right CJ, and it's a gorgeous place with all kinds of stuff. Dd likes Walmart as well, they have the back wall in the sewing part, with a couple dozen bolts of quilt type fabric.

speaking of which, the next time you are here, we have to not only get to Katja's but do the walmart.
