Do you like or have you had Butter Peas? Not buttered peas, but rather the bean called butter peas. They are small like a mini lima bean but with a milder flavor. They are very hard to find here and of course, I love them. No one else will eat them but me. I managed to find some in the frozen food section of Food Lion last week and Mel fixed them along with dinner last night (I was at a meeting and it was a nice surprize to come home too). I am having the rest (even as I type) for lunch today over some nice buttered rice. YUM.

I don't know why they are so hard to find here, probably because I like them.

Haven't bumped into them.

There is an English thing called Broad Beans which is a bean with a hairy inside coat that you pop the lima like seed out and eat that but they are bigger and fatter than limas with a bitter taste and floury texture.

I hated them as a child. Dad loved them and firmly believed that you could grow up liking them like he did if you just worked at it.

I learnt to swallow them whole, :icon2: which turned out to be quite a useful skill when I later wished to swallow huge honkin food supplement pills.

thanks dad! :hurray:
