I would have to say the simplicity of it was what first attracted me, along with knowing that we could work at being as self-sufficient as possible. I know many would say the simplicity of it, you must be nuts. Homesteading is hard work. I find in some areas it is hard work, in others not BUT the work to me is fulfilling. I go to bed at night knowing we've done all we could to fulfill our dreams of being as self-reliant as possible.
