When you decorate your own home?

I'd have to say a wee bit. My mom does not like clutter, never has. I don't like clutter either.

She puts everything into cans of some sort, I found myself doing the exact same thing. I love pretty decorative cans, filled with different types of things, rather than in the boxes they came in.

My mom is crazy about antiques, so am I.

My mom loves simple things, so do I.

What about you?

Not at all. My mom loved the country look with lots of lace and frills. I am so the opposite. My whole house has a beach/tropical theme (complete with what seems to be never ending amounts of sand on the tile floors that we drag in from the beach :icon_lol: ).

I think I'm a bit frillier than my mum was. She like Swedish modern, and I like the simplicity of it, but not 100%. I like lacy bits and more of a french country feel, but uncluttered. In between the books. She and my dad also had wall to wall to wall books too, so yes I guess in that way I really am.

My mom's style is quite different from my own. She has quite a lot of stuff hanging on her walls, whereas mine are more sparce. She is much more into frills and lace than I am. I know she would love to live in a Victorian style home. I would like that, too, but not as much as she would. Mom's tastes are a bit too "cluttery" for me, but I love her just the same! :)
