Where are you now in regards to where you were in 2000 (Y2K)? I read all the letters in their magazine and I had to think about where we were now in regards to where we were then.

We were well prepared for Y2K. We had a huge stockpile, a generator, lots of batteries and flashlights and had stockpiled water to drink. We had a large supply of medications on hand, games for the kids to play and we had a couple gallons of gasoline in our outside shed.

Toay, we aren't near as prepared as we were then. Although I do have a stocked pantry, it isn't near where I want it. We don't have any water stockpiled. We had trouble with our water when I stockpiled it here. I still need to find a way to do that. We have some medications on hand, but not near what we should have.

I'm reorganizing my stockpile and wanting to increase it somewhat. There are a few things I don't have on hand that I definitely want to get more of. I want to increase our grain & rice supplies and I also need to increase some of our non-food items (tp, toothpaste, shampoo and kitty litter to name a few).


My question to you is.....did you prepare for Y2K? Are you prepared now for a disaster, emergency, unemployment or illness? If you are, how prepared are you. If you aren't, what are you plans to prepare?
