Old fashioned mamma

Last summer dh build me a bookshelf. It was so huge, we couldn't get it up the stairs, so we had to take it apart and rebuild it upstairs. Because I had to change the boys bed around, I decided to do some major changing of the bookcase as well.
So dh cut it in half. Half of the bookshelf is going to go into the kitchen, so I can organize my cookbooks better. Part of the shelves will have my new pots I'm going to be purchasing, along with my Whisper mill. Its going to be all organized and nice and handy and everything in one place. Right now, we don't have many cupboards and none where I can put cookbooks or pots!!! Its going to make my kitchen organization so much simpler.
The top half of the bookshelf, we took apart and were using the wood to finish framing the windows (from our insulating jobs). Were saving $$ in that we don't have to purchase any new wood (recycling its called) and I'm getting a job done I've wanted done for awhile but we didn't have the extra $$ to do it.
Feels so good to be getting some jobs done around here again.
