Where are they kept. Are they kept under lock and key? Do you have to have a firearms license to keep them in your home?

No, I'm too afraid to keep them in the house.

We do not have any, but dh wants to get a gun for protection. We are in disagreement over this. I don't feel safe having one around ds. :(

We have several guns- none locked. All of my kids have been through the firearm safety classes, as well as most (or all) of their friends. When we know someone with little kids is coming to visit- we put the guns in the summer kitchen.

Yes, in a locked gun safe. My son is a contact person for the National Rifle Association in Canada and we stick to the letter of the law. They are all registered with the national registery, and under lock and key as per regs.

Both my kids have been thru the gun safety courses, and have Firearms Aquisition Certificates which you need in Canada in order to purchase or own firearms now. The safety course is different than getting the FAC.
