I have been spending most of my time inside getting the house cleaned up and ready for Christmas company. Since Ryan and I had the flu, I just don't seem to have much energy. I was given some apple cinnamon room spray and as I clean I have sprayed each room with that to give it a lift.

Mel cut down a tree yesterday that had died and was hanging over the driveway. It made a nice pile of firewood. Today he discovered a wet spot in the yard and it turned out to be a water leak from a cracked pipe. So we had no water while he worked on that. He fixed it and later checked and guess what, there is still a leak. He thinks its probably further down and will require digging again tomorrow. I am just thankful that he knows how to fix this and that it's not leaking inside the house.

There is plenty of grass around the lake so we have not had to put out hay yet for the goats. I gave the dogs a bath on Saturday and kept them in the basement by the wood stove until they were dry. Of course as soon as I did let them out, they looked for nasty stuff to roll in.

Not much happening here Pat. We all slowly getting over the flu. Its wiped all of us of our energy.

I was finally able to get out and purchase a few gifts for the kids. With all thats been going on, I didn't get much made this year. It will still be a simple Christmas, just not quite all homemade.

I've been doing a bit of crocheting and a tad bit of quilting. Once Christmas is over, I'll be back to quilting big time. I have a number of quilt tops I want to get finished in the new year.

Other than that, not much. Its our quiet time of the year here on the homestead. Nice to have winter in order to rest.
