I'm in zone 3, but we can grow some plants from other zones, if we really "baby" them over the winter months.
How about you?

Old fashioned mamma 10-05-2003, 05:49 PM I'm in zone 3, but we can grow some plants from other zones, if we really "baby" them over the winter months. How about you? Barefoot Gardener 10-06-2003, 03:07 PM We are kind of on the edge. To be safe I go by zone 4.:) SewCrafty 10-06-2003, 06:10 PM We are in zone #5. Here is a website to check what zone you are in: Eastern US and Canada: http://www.ezseedplanter.com/Eastern.htm Western US and Canada: http://www.ezseedplanter.com/Western.htm frugalmel 10-08-2003, 04:52 PM We are zone 6 or 6a depending on what map you use. ;) I haven't tried any plants from outside our zone yet. Our weather is really funny. They say here "if you don't like the weather in Tennessee, wait a day or two and it will change" and I am finding they are usually right! LOL Aussie Mamma 10-09-2003, 07:22 PM Zone 9. :) Gripey 10-14-2003, 03:33 PM We're in zone 6 in the northern Texas Panhandle smnoel 10-19-2003, 09:58 PM I'm in Zone 5b Karla 10-21-2003, 08:14 AM I'm in zone 6. BushBrigade 11-14-2003, 09:22 PM I think I'm in Zone 8 but the reds look so much alike..... Forgive my ignorance.....when you go to buy plants or flowers, do they tell you what zone they'll do best in on the "label" or whatever??? I have a huge brick "planter bed" along one side of the front of our house & a big patch of ground between our front door & driveway.....I'd love to have beautiful flowers, plants, or even just greenery there next spring & summer, but I really don't know what I'm doing......I planted sunflowers in the box this past spring (I LOVE sunflowers!!) and they were enormous - had no idea they were that big in real life!! Any suggestions?! Please?! edited to add... I'm definately in zone 8 - I found the map that has the whole USA and it's easier to tell..... :) Katybird 01-01-2004, 08:36 PM Zone 7 here Canadian gardener 01-01-2004, 09:34 PM zone 5 or 6 depending on whose map you look at.
