I've only just started crocheting, but on my list to make in the coming year is a crocheted tablecloth.

Anyone make one?

I haven't, but my mother used to make the most beautiful tablecloths. I am going to keep practicing. I know the thread isn't as forgiving as yarn, so I will just keep working using yarn and hopefully be able to do something more advanced in time.

I have- it took a LONG time but turned out beautiful. I used it on the guest book table at my wedding, at various other special occasions over the years.

I would hold the world record for taking the longest time ever to crochet a tablecloth!
My Mum had a lovely one and I used to joke with her that I'd inherit it....but that I was tired of waiting so I'd have to start to crochet my own!
So I did....about 25 years ago!! It's a lovely circular ivory-coloured one.
Then when my Mum died 18 years ago I DID get hers....and lost all interest in my own effort.
It's not far off finishing (as I recall!)....but heaven only knows where it is!
I think I'd better go look tomorrow and get motivated to finish my "work in progress"!

I haven't, but I have a pattern for a sunflower one that I would love to do someday. I think crocheted tablecloths and doilies are so pretty.
