We have an ugly electric fan in our kitchen and I'm determined to have that changed and put in a period style chandelier.
How about you, any in your home and if so, what type?

My grandmother gave me a beautiful chandelier. I now only have it in my memory. I have one teardrop crystal in a box still. It really wouldn't go here in this house, but I just loved it.
Right now, I have some hanging lights that are...well they are not too pretty. lol The one in the entry and the one in the diningroom match, but are equally unattractive. I'd love a pretty pendant style type in the entryway and just someting simple and elegant in the diningroom.
I love looking online at light fixtures.

I don't have one in this house, but what I do have, and like is a rather plain almond glass tiffany fixture over the dining room table. It's easy to clean, and until I went for the blue and white wallpaper, it seemed ugly and boring.
But for some reason as soon as I put up my blue wallpaper, it popped into view and came into it's own, and I'm very fond of it now.
I may go for a rather restrained blue and white tiffany to replace it someday if I get really excited.

There was a chandelier in our living room when we moved in here, however- - - kids who tumble, tend to tumble even in the house. . . . so the chandelier met with a sad fate.
It's now a ceiling fan :(

I have two chandeliers in our house. One at the top of the stairs (second floor) and the other in our kitchen (used to be our dining room but the light hasn't been moved yet). The upstairs chandelier was bought from a friend of my husbands - it has the crystal teardrops on it. The other I bought at a garage sale for $5.00. I couldn't decide if it was ugly or beautiful, but figured for 5 bucks I could afford to make up my mind later. Well I decided it is beautiful. It is very victorian looking - mauve, yellow and blue roses in some type of ceramic material with brass arms and tiny round crystals that hold the roses beneath the candles. Funny thing is that about 2 years after I bought it, someone came to my garage sale and I noticed the last name on their check was the name the previous owner of the chandelier had told me was the original ower of this light. I asked them into the house and sure enough, it had been this woman's mothers chandelier! They had bought it on a trip to Turkey. So now I have a chandelier that is better traveled than I am! :)

We don't have any - it wouldn't fit in with the style of our house. I do love to look at them though.

Closest thing we have is a hanging light fixture over the dining room table. It uses the bulbs that look like candles and has several "arms" with the lights on them. It's pretty but not what I would consider a chandelier.
