Dh gets every second weekend off and has 3 days off. I'm making some plans for those days, to make it fun and yet a learning experience for all of us.

Some of the themes I have planned are:

-bird watching during the summer in the Northern part of our province
-doing a canoe trip down the Souris river
-staying at a Bed and breakfast in an old antique house
-exploring some of the ghost towns in our province. There is a new book our titled Ghost Towns of Manitoba. I plan on purchasing it for dh for Christmas and then making plans to visit some of them. There are a few that are still around and even have a couple of people still living there
