I am finding this new reality show very interesting. I am learning things about the Amish that I did not know, things they can't really convey well in books. To compare the Amish to the city kids is very eye opening! Is anyone else watching?

I'd love to watch it but alas, we don't have cable. This is one time when I wish we did.

I missed a couple of episodes and didn't realize they had changed the final episode this week to a different night so I missed some of it. I really enjoyed it!

I've read about this programme. It sounds interesting, so I hope we get to see it in NZ before too long. :mwhistle:

I wish I could watch this program. It sounds like something I'd really like, and I can't say that about most of the things on TV.

I have been watching almost from the beginning. I missed the show last week. They were all heading out to the country to work together on a farm. I thought it would be interesting to see the differences between the Amish and the city folk. Hopefully, I can watch it this week and catch up!

Last week they got mail saying they were going to Amish country. I was embarrassed and disappointed in the city kids. They have been living together with their Amish friends for (how many weeks?), doing city things. Now it was their turn to find out about their Amish friends and they didn't want to do it. I was really shocked at the response the city kids had to thought of going to Amish country. There were a couple that stepped up and said that the Amish were very accepting of their families and they would do the same. But a couple of them, once they got there didn't want to do what was required of them. Mose said he was disappointed, as was I.
I am not Amish, obviously (lol) but I can relate far better to the Amish in this show than the city people. Under the circumstances of the show, the differences are really accentuated! It's been very eye-opening for me!

They showed the final episode last night instead of tonight! I missed the first half but glad I caught the last! If this show comes out of dvd, I think I would buy it.

Prairiemaid, thanks for that update. I wondered how the city kids would do. I guess it really shows how some in our society are so very shallow. But, then again it is a TV show so I hope that the city kids are not representative of the majority.
