For me it has to be the "elegance" of victorian and a simpler time. I love the lace they used to decorate with, the china cups found throughout their homes and even the jewellery had a place in their decorating style.

Old photographs of my grandmother's family and their home. Everything looks so homey and peaceful. Studying Victorian ways helps me understand more what their lives were like, I think. :)
