This beautiful big New Zealand Native Pigeon visited our garden this morning. It's also known by the Maori name Kereru.
When in flight the Kereru makes a very distinctive whooshing sound with its wings. We'd heard it for a few days, but today was our first sighting. We feel very honoured!
