We may end up going on one today when we go through Riding Mountain National park. I love nature trails, but prefer going on them in Sept. The weather is usually cooler and the mosquitoes aren't near as bad.
When we lived in Winnipeg, we would go on one almost every weekend. It was so much fun to walk the trail and point out different things to the kids.
Have you been on one lately?

This past Saturday the temps were down and we went on a nature walk at Natural Bridge here in Virginia. This is the actual stone bridge that George Washington carved his initals into and is considered one of the natural wonders of the US. The walk took us under the bridge, to a cave where salt peter was mined and then along the creek and to some gorgeous waterfalls. Not a long walk but a really pleasant one. We also went into the caverns at the same place. They were very nice though quite slippery. Here is the link

what a gorgeous picture!! We actually had plans to go to the Natural Bridge this summer but bypassed it just to get home quickly.
We have a state park pass and we go just about every weekend. Summer is so gorgeous here and so short, I try to enjoy every second that I can!
