We don't have plans to do any camping this year, but our plans are to save enough $$ to purchase a fold down camper next summer.

Who has been camping this year and where did you go camping?

You know I run a Camping in Texas Group, and it's been dead like it's never been before. Down here it seems no one is camping at all. My tent camper's say it's just too hot, and the one's with the nice air-conditioned campers and big rigs are compaining of gas prices being too high to travel. Actually we just sold our little camper, not for those reasons, but because we are gonna enjoy staying home and working around our house on weekends, and we needed to get a little money together too. We still have the tents though, just in case!

I have not been camping this year and it looks as though Alex and I won't be able to do much of it. We are goingto six flags and staying the night at a koa site so we don't have to do the long drive home late. It makes me a little sad cuz that is our mom and daughter time. No t.v. just talking eating and games.

We did purchase a used pop-up camper and can hardly wait to go!

cozyquilter~here too~! Backyard camping at it's best.....if the ground gets a little too hard, the bed is close by!~ :icon_wink My turn is coming, after dd comes home from Grandpa and Grandma's I will be sleeping in the tent with her. Daddy and her brothers have slept out there many times.

We havent' gotten any camping in yet this summer! What a disappontment.

We do have a camping trip planned end of August to Hocking Hills OH. I told my dh its all I want for my b-day.

We would LOVE a pop up camper though!

I'm not much for tent camping, so we haven't done any camping as a family ever. :eek: I'd love a camper someday though.

Well I'm sorry to say that our Girl Scout troop leader decided that we were not going to go camping this year. (I am not the leader). I purchased the tent and learned how to put it up and take it down myself and it never got used. Maybe next year just dd and I will give it a try ourselves.
