I have to admit I often wear gloves when I garden. lol I have gotten hurt a few times and am gun shy now.

Nope, I'm always getting picked by roses. One of these days I might wear them, but I just love the feel of the dirt on my hands.

I love the feel of the dirt too CJ. I don't do my nails in the summer, so I don't feel like I should have to wear gloves.

I never used to wear gloves ever. Now I grab them when working on certain types of gardening. We did a lot of yard clearing and I definitely wore them then. I don't wear them to weed, but I do wear them occasionally to plant.
I wear them whenever I am using larger tools like loppers and shovels too. It is definitely not to protect my nails though. They look horrible year round. lol

The one thing about not wearing gloves when digging or planting, you often come up with cat droppings, which is totally disgusting!!!

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. There's really no rhyme or reason to when I decide to wear them.

I wear mine only when working with thorny or prickly plants. Hate to touch stinging nettles and such ~ouch!
Love to feel the dirt and nice plants.
If you dig your nails into a bar of soap before you go play in the dirt, cleanup is easier.;) Keeping nails short & a good nail brush are a good thing to have too.

I rarely remember to put mine on unless its clearing brush or something like that. As for the regular digging and weeding, it's bare hands.

I do when I mow or pull prickly weeds. Most times I dont though. I need to "feel" what I am doing.
