Ryan and Mel are going on their very first father/daughter fishing trip this Saturday with the Girl Scouts. It's to a privately owned pond about 1 hour from here. Mel thinks it's ridiculous since we have a big lake with fish in the back yard but he's going to go for Ryan's sake. They have to catch, kill and clean the fish in order for her to get a badge. I would love to be invisible and watch this. These girls are so funny and I can't imagine them even touching a fish. Afterwards everyone comes back to the church and we're having a cookout. I have to stay behind and get stuff ready for the cookout, but then I'm not going to be eaten alive by bugs while fishing...... Mel is taking my first aid kit, just in case, and a pair of pliers. He has no faith in these girls and fish hooks. This is their very first dad/dd thing and I'm thrilled.

How lucky can you get! I love to fish, but haven't been in several years now. Even though we live less than 1/4 mile from the lake. This sounds so nice!
