Its a dull cloudy day here on this Thanksgiving Monday. Most of the leaves have fallen off and the trees are bare. As I look across at the park, I know that soon those leaves will be in my yard. All we need is a nice easterly wind and I'll be raking up even more leaves. Thats a job we need to get done this week.

This morning, I need to get some baking done and out of the way before I put the turkey in to cook. One of dh's friends is coming for supper so I'm cooking a large turkey. I'll freeze whats leftover and use it for soups and stews. Thats what is so nice about turkeys.

There are clothes waiting for me to fold yet, dried from yesterday. I was busy helping a friend last night and didn't get anything done, but it was fun to get the job all done and to see the outcome!! ;)

This week, I have got to get our m/bedroom organized and I also need to organize a cupboard in the kitchen that has my spices and baking supplies. I actually want dh to move the cupboard completely so will see if I can get him doing that.

I also need to get some crafts packaged up and in the mail, got a couple of orders. I like to get that done has quickly as I can once I get the orders, that way its out of the way. Also one of the orders is for a birthday in Nov. and has to go to the States so getting it out early will make sure it arrives on time.

Sometime this week, I have to take the kids to the library. We have 2 libraries that we go to, all within 20 minutes from us. With hs, we use the both of them. I also want to make sure they both stay open!!!

I plan on moving the computer desk as well. Where the computer is now, I want to put our rain barrels and save snow this year, cutting down on the water bill. Also the plants love melted snow!!

As I think about Thanksgiving today, I'm thankful for our homestead and for all that its come to symbolize for us. I'm thankful that we have our dream and although it took years to attain, its all ours and paid for.
