This morning I looked outside and where the robins from last year left their nest, a mourning dove has taken over. She looked so comfy just sitting there.

I'd never heard of a mourning dove before. I looked them up and they are a very sweet looking bird. Do they only come around in spring?

We have crested pigeons (doves) here. They have an upward pointing arrow on their heads which always reminds me of Oblio and "Me and my arrow" by Nillson.

Good for you Sara.(and the mourning doves too, lol)
To me they are such a relaxed calming kind of bird, I like them & their cooing.

I have never actually seen one, but there were some at my brother's first apt. that NEVER stopped cooing.
