Without looking at your dictionary or the internet, can anyone explain what a "duroc" is?

Is it the first part of durol - you know duroc and duroll (rock and roll). Okay I'm just so silly today. I have no idea what it means but look forward to finding out.

It's a breed of pig.

I think they are a Dutch breed? They are a white pig, excellent for meat.

We used to raise pigs so I learned lots about breeds.

DUH! I thought it was some type of exotic dance! (Great minds think alike, Pat?!)
A "duroc pig" sounds pretty interesting and not just your everyday porker.

Prairiemaid is right.

A duroc is a breed of hogs with origins in the eastern United States and in the Corn Belt. Compact, attractive color and good for fleshing out.
