SusieJD 03-28-2004, 02:35 PM Total Blank. I promise to wait for the answer.....What is it? Susie in MN paelthom 03-28-2004, 05:15 PM Is it the first part of durol - you know duroc and duroll (rock and roll). Okay I'm just so silly today. I have no idea what it means but look forward to finding out. Old fashioned mamma 03-28-2004, 06:38 PM No, if no one gets it, I'll post the answer later today. prairiemaid 03-29-2004, 03:44 AM It's a breed of pig. prairiemaid 03-29-2004, 04:14 AM I think they are a Dutch breed? They are a white pig, excellent for meat. We used to raise pigs so I learned lots about breeds. maggie 03-29-2004, 08:12 AM DUH! I thought it was some type of exotic dance! (Great minds think alike, Pat?!) A "duroc pig" sounds pretty interesting and not just your everyday porker. Old fashioned mamma 03-29-2004, 03:19 PM Prairiemaid is right. A duroc is a breed of hogs with origins in the eastern United States and in the Corn Belt. Compact, attractive color and good for fleshing out. |
