Here are pictures of the hay rake and mower that we have sitting out in the pasture. Both were found on the property when Mel purchased it. The hay rake needs to be set up straight but we just never seem to get it done. The little goats like to play around them.

What great treasure to find...I often wonder who used these pieces of equipment and all the hard work that went along with it!

They're really treasures! Up here we have festivals for such machines. They have old fashioned steam tractors and rakes. The festivals are called "Threshing Bees" They're wonderful to see running.

My Dad had a hay rake like that, Pat. It is sadly long since gone ( and so is he for that matter!). I wonder where the rake is now. It would be deemed dangerous nowadays, but I remember riding on it as a child.
We also had an old threshing mill and I used to help stack the wheat. Thanks for reminding me Susie.
