What was the main attraction? Was it something you read, something you seen on a video or tv program, something you seen while driving the back country roads. Share it with us.
What probably attraced me most to our country living was the peace and quiet. Even after living here for over a year, I'm still in awe of the peace and quiet that surrounds me. There are no cars racing up and down our streets, no horns honking, no planes flying over all hours of the day. You don't see vehicles racing to beat the other person, only to get to the same red like together!!
Another thing that attracted me was the simple lifestyle of those around me out here. I'm amazed at how little most of my neighbours need and how simple their lifestyle is. They don't need to be rushing off to a movie or to mall shop every day. Their simplicity is in a daily walk around the neighbourhood, meeting at the post office to talk about the weather, or in the general store to fish through the goodies there.
I also see here how others are the first to hop on the bandwagon to help someone in need. I never seen that in the city, heck most people didn't even know their next door neighbour, never mind when they had a new baby, were sick or had a family tragedy.
Those are only a few that I can think of now. Share some of your reasons with us.
