Do you or anyone you know drink aloe vera juice? I purchased some today at the health food store and am going to give it a try for my digestive problems. I also purchased some digestive enzymes and am going to give them a try. I just want to get away from prescription medicine as much as possible and thought this might be a good thing to try.
Any comments always welcome!

My brother used to drink aloe vera gel. I don't know if it helped him. I'm sure that's useful information. lol! Dh has IBS (irritated bowel syndrome) and sometimes takes "Stom-A-Tone", a digestive enzyme and papaya enzyme. He says it helps. He also says eating pineapple helps his digestion. I don't know if there's anything scientific to back that up? He has a hard time digesting :pizza: but if it has pineapple on it, it's ok. Have you noticed if anything is helping?

I think the aloe juice is helping. My tummy seems to be more quiet and agreeable. The pineapple is highly recommended by I haven't tried it yet. It has a very high concentration of the digestive enzymes, just like papaya. I've been taking something called Vibragest that also has the digestive enzymes and acidolphilus in it as well as another called IBX that has a lot of herbs in it. I think the aloe is pleasant tasting, mine is fruit flavored. Tell you dh that pizza drives me crazy too - but I love pizza. The dr. has me avoiding as much dairy and wheat products as I can and that's really helping with the gas/bloating.

I've never tried aloe juice. I have tried the papaya chewables though for digestion and found they helped.

Aloeluyah's AMP Aloe & E for digestive and autoimmune conditions is the pure aloe mucilaginous polysaccharide - the healing agent - from the aloe leaf. This is concentrated in an all natural veggie cap so that you get 275 mg of AMP Aloe per capsule! Plus Soy Lecithin and Vitamin E.
You've got to try this for your digestion condition, it works faster and more efficiently than the juice as what you're getting is the pure AMP molecule which is THE healing agent of the aloe plant!

I drink the juice. I think it helps, and I rather like it.

That's awesome that the juice helps you. If it does, you should definitely stick with it. Some people can handle the juice and realize benefits; other cannot, due to aloe latex, which is a harsh stimulant laxative. These are the people that benefit most from AMP Aloe.
I enjoy doing the research and hearing from different people: what helps, what they've tried, results, etc. And of course it's always nice to hear when someone finds something that gives them relief. Those are the best posts of all!!
