What's the one home/property improvement that you would love to have but probably just isn't going to happen anytime soon?

Mine would be to have our driveway paved. It's very long and slopes downhill to the house and then circles back around to the animal's shed. We've put down gravel many times but it all just disappears. When it's bad weather and icy, I can't get my car to go up the hill. I can't imagine how expense it would be to pave it, but I think I could buy a new 4x4 vehicle much cheaper - yes, it's that long!

Oh well I can always dream.......

It looks like a summer kitchen because the town says no. We may end up putting a stove in our shed just so I can do some of my baking/canning in there, but how likely that is at this point, I'm not sure. We are trying to convince them, but you know town councils.

Only one thing Pat?? :icon_wink Umm...probably the addition on our home that would have included a family room, computer/sewing room and mud room with basement underneath.(which we wouldn't have finished for awhile) Too many other things have come up! :icon_frow

I would love to build an addition on our house. It would be a master bedroom and another bath room.

I would love to have a little elf work it's magic & get rid of the outdated wallpaper in our DR,LR and balcony.(it was here when we moved in 10 yrs ago & many years before that I'm sure)
The project seems so overwhelming because of the LR's high walls covered with wallpaper. My guess is that the wallpaper reaches about 14-15 ft from floor to ceiling.

Don't think that elf is gonna show up remove the paper and then paint. :mwhistle:

Well, mine would involve adding on to the house (master bedroom and back porch). Since this won't be our "forever house" I don't think it will get done.

I'm not ready to accept anything "ain't" gonna happen, but some things that won't be happening anytime soon include things like glassing in our three season porch, so it becomes a sunroom, central vacuum, and larger updated bathrooms.

Sara,
I agree that a centra vac system would be great. I had a friend years ago who had one in her home and it made cleaning so much easier.
