I have a cup rack on one wall with a few of my china cups hanging from it. I also have a pendulum clock dh made. Other than that, my kitchen walls are bare.

How about you?

My kitchen is a decorator's nightmare. lol There is really not anything on the walls because there isn't really much wall space at all that isn't taken up by tile backsplash and cabinets.

There are a couple of small strips that I could hang a plate rack or something, but it's bare now.

The kitchen was done in the early 80's and is brown and just looks dingy. :( I can't wait to do a bit in there and then I'll look for something nice for the walls.

Our kitchen is very open and most of the wall space is covered with cabinets. We do have a metal rooster over the sink and some old replica cast iron coffee pots on one wall. Over the cabinets, we have Mel's grandmother's Blue Willow dishes displayed.

I have two lighthouse pictures and that's it. I did have a surfboard shaped key holder, but dh kept grabbing the keys off it so hard that it would slide out of place and it scratched up the wall. We go the wall repaired and I haven't put it back up.

Pale blue vinyl wallpaper in a soft cloudy background with little white dots on it, like pale blue dotted swiss only cloudy. I have a fruit pattern border with plums and pears, and apples and grapes all real colours. Oak laminate cupboards, and white and beige laminate countertop, white vinyl floors. White appliances.

nothing else.

I have 2 fancy potholders stuck to the side of my fridge with peel and stick magnets in a lemon yellow and white with painted pears on them.

front of fridge has current menu and shopping list, plus some recipes that I'm currently trying out.

Pale yellow painted walls. There are 7 doors off my kitchen so I don't have alot of room for much. I have an oak clock on one wall. A calendar in a wooden frame in one corner with the old fashioned wood phone. There is a decorative plate above the phone. Above the doorway to the laundryroom I have a picture that says Bless This Home.

edited to add: Just looked and I have 2 iron candle holders that hold 2 long candles each on either side of one doorway.

This summer I want to brighten up the kitchen/breakfast nook area. I'm going to be looking for chicken and rooster items at yard sales. I would like to find some unusual pieces to display and some to really use as well.

I have two ceramic pictures, one of a barn with chickens & the other of an old farm house...ceramic fruit on the cupboards, apple, pear, apricot, cherries, strawberries & grapes...on the soffit I have candles hanging on a wooden tulip strip [my Hubby made] actually I have two of these strips. I have a small wooden shelf with apples, straw doll, baskets of tiny fruit & a wooden shoe I bought in Florence, Oregon. I have an Apple picture & a black iron old-fashioned tri-cycle, a small black metal wheelbarrow with shiny [fake] apples in it. Oh and I have a round wooden clock.
Mine is an eat-in kitchen. The one end is the cupboards & appliances & the other is more like a small dining room with table & 6 chairs. My table is in front of a bay window looking out on the drive-way & side yard.
Well, I guess that's alot more information than was needed!!!!! That's me....talk...talk...talk!

I have a small kitchen with not much wall space, but I do have a lovely plate-rack/shelf unit on the wall with some of my antique Spode dinnerset plates displayed. Also some Wade children's pottery that my DH had as a child. I have dried hydrangeas along the top of the unit.
I have a deep window-sill with a plate-rack on with our everyday blue & white china ready to use.
I also have a small plaque on the wall which is heart-shaped and reads "Dear Lord, if you can't make me skinny, please make my friends fat". It makes me smile every day. :)

Your kitchens sound warm and inviting. Just the place to come to for a cup of tea and a nice conversation. Wish I was closer.......
