Earlier I posted that I had cleaned my craft/sewing room and found and organized my fabric. Little did I know how soon it would come in handy. Mel has been using one of those holiday popcorn tins as his ottoman since the one on the recliner broke. I was going to buy him an ottoman and he said can't use just make a pillow for this can, it's the right height and size. Just so happens I had found blue upholstery fabric when I was cleaning up. Sewed up a pillow and then covered the can with the same fabric. Added a bit of ribbon to hid the lid's edge and now he has a homemade ottoman. The can still opens for storage. The pillow, ribbon and fabric are hot glued in place. Didn't spend one cent!
